授業の目標・概要等	The lecture gives an overview of the development of scientific thinking in physics by introducing a selection of the most important insights and discoveries. Based on these specific examples, the lecture explores the possibles roles of scientific thinking in the world of ideas and beyond.

成績評価の基準等	Evaluation will be based on the reports. The reports should present a clear argument using the appropriate laws of physics to cover as many aspects of the topic as possible. Students should show their ability to discuss physics in a wider context without misrepresenting the scientific content.
